Description:
Chinook Contract Research is seeking a talented candidate to work with us developing our digital systems. The ideal candidate will be keen to work with us on initiating our digital administration systems and data management tools, marketing, including the development of social media platforms, web design, SEO and branding.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a self starter, have superior attention to detail, have the need and ability to learn new skills quickly. We are looking for someone with some experience in one or more of the following skills: SEO, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Microsoft office, especially Excel. Some experience with web design, and QuickBooks are ideal. This is a part time (10-30hrs a week), modestly paid internship position for between 2 to 6 months with opportunities for long term employment.
The candidate will have demonstrated ability for critical thinking as well as being a highly motivated self-starter with creative problem-solving skills.
TASKS:
The digital systems intern will be responsible for working with senior management to aid in the improvement and development of corporate digital systems. Specific tasks include the following:
1. Creation of digital marketing and communications tools includes SEO, web design, social media platform management and content development (40%).
2. Aid in the development and management of the corporate electronic data management system (EDMS) for critical client and study data management (20%).
3. Aid in the development and integration of laboratory information management system (LIMS) for a disease diagnostics program (20%).
4. Work with senior management and accounting services to improve digital accounting systems (20%).
Relationships:
Works closely with the with research team in a support role in the development of EDMS and LIMS digital systems. Interacts with the public and industry stake holders in the delivery of digital media content. Works closely and collaboratively with Alberta Agriculture Personnel and related partner organizations.
Participates in weekly laboratory meetings.
